Pluspunten

Well-located downtown office. All of my interactions with other workers were positive and friendly. IT/support/hardware guy is amazing, superhumanly fast and helpful. Decent benefits. The company has huge contracts with big name companies so it seems likely they'll be sticking around for awhile, if the stability of the business is important to you.

Minpunten

100+ people in an open office is not conducive to productivity... and they're not remote-friendly. I had fine interactions with everyone, but two coworkers I know closely got really caught up in bitter office politics. Oftentimes different teams are basically pitted against each other. This company is all marketing/business folks up top; there was no CTO when I was there, maybe this has changed since. A lot of pressure to meet deadlines set on the business side, leading to half-baked features implemented poorly. Always planning to go back to fix it later, and then another feature request comes in that takes priority over tech debt, and eventually the entire app is spaghetti code and crashes all the time. Many staff are unhappy and turnover rate is quite high. The company has grown on the strength of strong sales, but if the development process continues to be poorly managed, I think it's only a matter of time before it collapses under its own weight.

Pluspunten

The employees (outside of leadership) are some of the most supportive, collaborative, and resilient people I’ve ever worked with. Unfortunately, much of that comes from being “trauma bonded” through the instability here.

Minpunten

Leadership is deeply inconsistent — the CEO regularly disparages competitors but then recruits from those same companies. Constant layoffs and financial instability; cash flow is a major issue. Terminations during medical treatment (including chemotherapy), with leadership excusing it as “in the works for a while.” Inappropriate behavior at company events, including executives openly using substances where illegal. European leaders frequently act unprofessionally but face no consequences due to personal ties with the CEO. Sales layoffs are handled haphazardly; those who remain are often disengaged. Product misrepresentation: company inflates pipeline numbers, misleads investors, and exaggerates customer list (e.g., Starbucks is not actually a client). Roadmaps and product development are regularly misrepresented to prospects. Leadership turnover is stalled — senior executives remain in roles long after it’s clear change is needed. HR repeatedly fails to address inappropriate conduct, including personal oversharing by managers and harassment from colleagues. Employees are promised promotions or new roles that never materialize; instead, staff are burned out and let go.
