The team environment is very strong and positive. The boss holds a meeting every morning to boost moral and he has very inspirational words that I still think about today even after having left. The team pushes growth and pushes you to connect with co-workers at a higher level to help you learn. A con is that this is rapid growth to becoming a brand manager which has high pay, but to get there is so grueling that I would say easily that 90% of people don't make it, and therefore have wasted their time without any health coverage, proper pay, or any job security as it's by outside salesmen contract, which is to safeguard the company because they know almost everyone leaves because of how tough the environment is. (this last part is a con but I wanted that pro to be in the pro section)
Minpunten
Let me say one thing first....the section on the contract about payment is SERIOUSLY UNCLEAR and dubious. They don't properly tell you how it works when they first give it to you and the people who are training you don't fully understand how it works either. It does not fully describe how payment works, you have to go out of your way and ask multiple people how payment works, when you actually start getting paid (it's 3 weeks backdated, but it doesn't even start until you get a payment code from the company so it turns out you make $0 until that happens and that's not for at least a week.) On top of this you work close to 9 hour days on your feet including Saturday (I worked 11 hours on some days because I was required to stay after work to make networking calls). You are also on contract so there are cases where you can make $0 if you don't make any sales in 2 days, so you work for free until you make another sale. You are pressured into wanting to be HIGHLY competitive (which is the nature of the job) but it's overwhelming to the point of being negative. They way they talk about someone who's left the company is condescending "They couldn't handle it. They didn't want it enough" and to a new employee that's daunting to hear fellow co-workers bad mouth previous employees. I would like to mention that despite all these cons, I learned the value of really hardwork and I learned quite a lot from the boss and all of the stories of his experiences. I have benefited from this experience but only because I am lucky enough to still be living at home and am not in a position where I NEED to make money to support all of my life necessities (health insurance, rent, etc etc.) If I had been in that position I would have left this job immediately or not even signed the contract due to the completely shoddy payment system/ lack thereof proper discussion of how payment works.
