Pluspunten

Plenty of snacks in the cafe and amount of PTO is nice. There is a sense of comradely amongst engineers. Office looks nice.

Minpunten

I do not feel a sense of clear technical goals when it comes to going from legacy tech to more modern tech. They established an R&D department to help pave the way to a more modern tech stack. But, it seems like all of the new development is just centered in that small department while the rest of us are trapped working in old tech that, honestly, endangers an engineer’s career. I haven’t heard of any major milestones from that department either, so it sounds like bad management in general. My skills have not expanded nor improved in my time at accesso. Everyone was called in during a holiday to work on menial tasks to help diagnose a serious issue. We were called away from our families without notice and forced to work for a few hours accomplishing almost nothing. Panic management at its finest. Point being, engineers need to steer clear from this company. Your skills will only stagnate and you would just be frustrated with the beauracracy and legacy code. On top of all of this, they continue to underpay employees.

Of course, no workplace is perfect. Like any job, there are occasional challenges—busy seasons that can feel overwhelming, the need to adapt to change, and the occasional growing pains that come with progress. But in my experience, these challenges have been balanced by strong leadership, a supportive team, and opportunities to learn and improve.
