I have worked with this company for 2 years 1 month and I was recently laid off by just informing me 30mins before my lunch. Director calls 30 people for meeting and without any reasons tells us that "Unfortunately we were let go". Upon asking her "what was the criteria of laying off" She exits the virtual office and says for any question People HR will handle it. At that time People HR who was present had no answers but probably reading through a script. Out of the script when asked by a fellow colleague "I applied for another job within the company, does it mean I was not selected. Can I talk to you about this after" Her response, "I have another meeting to go to so I cannot respond to anything at the moment" She exits the virtual office as well. The funny thing is that just after a meeting that Glassdoor has eXp ranked as one of the best places to work. We all get laid off. Isn't that ironic? I was a Senior Transaction Settlement who worked my butt off for this company. Their pays are lower and everyone is working like a donkey here who has no future with this company but to keep working and get laid off when they feel like. Even if you say openings in near future, then please do not apply. I know Corporate America can be very risky but the way they handle their employees and their Laying off tactics is highly unprofessional, unethical and constant lying to even our managers and leads who have no clue who can get fired.
