Your co-workers could become your best friends. You’ll be able to manage yourself. You’ll receive concert tickets, meet amazing business and community leaders. Plus free food is always floating around. Some markets have fun games, bars or even a gym. The type of experience depends on the market. New Orleans or Phoenix will operate differently from Detroit or Chicago. This is a place you’ll want to work to get experience. Your next move could come from the connections you’ve made. You should look at this as a investment of time till you find your next step. There won’t be a lot of opportunity for growth unless your brown nosing the correct boss but use this as a way for you to get your feet wet and meet some amazing people. The company on your resume will mean a lot!

You’ll have limited resources. If you’re looking to learn and grow in your field. You can forget about that unless you are on the sales team. Company is very focused on clients and sales and will do things just to make the client “happy” without any real benefit to the clients brand or marketing. There will be 40 generals and not enough Foot soldiers. This happens in local and corporate offices. Working in programming will be a 24/7 job between news, sales and your director calling or texting you. You’ll do things based on “feelings” and work output will be subjective to how your manager works. I.e if they’re a workaholic you’ll become one.
