HR management in the Netherlands is poorly handled. Both the local director and the group director openly gossip about employees on the office floor and in the downstairs restaurant at the Leiden location. This behavior creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for their teams; it is visibly awkward for team members, many of whom appear too inexperienced to feel confident challenging such conduct.
In addition, HR management frequently changes policies and provides inconsistent explanations to employees. As a result, rules and expectations are unclear and vary depending on who communicates them, leading to confusion and a lack of trust.
There is also a high turnover within the HR team. Capable employees who speak up tend to leave, and little to no communication is provided about these departures. This further contributes to uncertainty and undermines confidence in HR leadership.
