First the interviewer showed some python package in github and asked me to make changes to the package based on their project requirements.
Second interview was about designing and architecture based on networking restrictions

Then the recruiter told that they cannot proceed further

My question is did everyone who got hired in the company go thru a similar interview process like project based interview etc. ?

Since in my opinion asking a candidate in the interview to work on a totally unknown code base with little or no help is not the right way to judge someone
