At Kennedys, wellbeing is a top priority, and this October, we're dedicating the month to wellbeing initiatives. In honour of World Mental Health Day (WMHD), we've joined the 'This is Me' campaign, using personal stories to create a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. In our London office, the wellbeing ambassadors teamed up with Claire Mulligan to host this month’s staff social, promoting WMHD. The evening kicked off with a welcome speech from CIO Paul Brotzel, followed by a quiz where the 'Magnificent Seven' team took home the win! Meanwhile, volunteers in the Manchester office organised a wellbeing breakfast, encouraging colleagues to get to know one another. The goal was to foster connections, so that if anyone ever needs support, they'll know who to turn to.
Last Friday, we had the opportunity to take part in the first Dive In Festival Careers Conference. As a global festival partner, we joined industry professionals to engage with future talent and showcase exciting career opportunities in the insurance market. It was inspiring to see so many enthusiastic students exploring roles from underwriting to risk analysis and everything in between. Our team enjoyed connecting with attendees, answering questions, and sharing insights on what it’s like to build a career in this dynamic industry. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand!

Yesterday our PACT Network (Parents and Carers Together) officially launched across the UK. The network is for anyone with caring responsibilities and aims to provide both a support and advocacy function for colleagues, and a confidential space to share experiences. The network welcomed two expert guest speakers, Anita Cleare and Heidi Skudder, who provided some key tips and strategies on how to better juggle work and caring responsibilities. We would like to thank the panel speakers and partners, Rachel Moore and Stephen Foster, for sharing their own experiences and PACT’s co-chairs Bethany Haycock and Olivia Tusler for hosting the entire event. We're looking forward to the next one!

With this year’s Dive In Festival now concluded, here’s a recap of some amazing events from yesterday: In Australia, Alen Sinanovic joined an interactive session on Unlocking the Power of Intergenerational Inclusion. The panel delved into overcoming biases and leveraging diverse age groups in the workplace, providing practical tools to drive inclusivity and innovation. In Peru, Maria Fernanda Corrochano took part in a discussion on promoting Caring Cultures in the workplace. The session explored how companies can support employees with caregiving responsibilities through flexible work arrangements and resources, fostering an inclusive environment that values caregivers. Although Dive In 2024 has wrapped up, these insightful conversations will continue to shape more inclusive and supportive work cultures. It’s been an incredible week of learning and inspiration!
