NASCAR, the Chicago Street Race and Chicago Public Schools hosted 600 students at the second-annual STEAM Fest at the Field Museum in downtown Chicago last week. Following a two-month, in-classroom design competition, finalists from each grade level were invited to participate in a championship round with help from NASCAR drivers Connor Mosack and Lavar Scott, as well as industry STEM professionals Alba Colon of Hendrick Motorsports and Chris Justice of Stewart-Haas Racing.

The CW Network yesterday announced it will be the exclusive broadcast home for the final eight races of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series this fall. Live coverage begins on Friday, September 20 with the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The series continues through the fall with the final seven Xfinity Playoff races of the season, culminating in the Xfinity Series Championship from Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, November 9.
