As a Service Engineer, Bartek faced unique challenges in his role, but he consistently demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and a commitment to excellence. He thrived in residential projects under the guidance of his mentor, Marc Sheehan. 🤝 During his apprenticeship, Bartek actively participated in various workshops and training sessions in our newly developed pods at the Leeds office. These hands-on experiences allowed him to hone his practical skills and master the latest techniques in fire and security systems. Bartek's dedication and drive have enabled him to achieve this milestone ahead of schedule – a testament to his professionalism and determination. At SECOM, we are continuously striving to reduce our carbon footprint. Our Head Office in Kenley already runs 100% renewable electricity, backed by Renewable Guarantees of Origin and nuclear declarations. Following this, we extended the initiative to our Birmingham office, and as of 1st December, our Bristol office will also transition to the British Gas Zero Carbon tariff. This is another step forward in our commitment to sustainability. Our new Hull office has also been installed with solar panels, generating much more of its own electricity.

This visit provided an in-depth look into the full scope of our operations, showcasing the dedication and expertise of our team members. During his visit, Satoru experienced firsthand how our team is innovating to enhance the customer journey, refine processes, and implement new systems that align with our company’s mission. Reflecting on our progress, Satoru said: “When we started the BTG (barriers to growth) initiative in 2023, one of the themes was how to bring added value to our existing and potential customers, increasing recurring revenues and preventing termination. This achievement reflects the dedication of our team to meet rigorous standards and prioritise sustainability in our partnerships. A big thank you to our incredible Compliance Team, whose hard work and dedication made this possible. In 2023 we achieved the silver standard with a score of 62%, so to achieve the gold standard by hitting 78% is a fantastic achievement.
We had an amazing time participating in the Tandridge School event in Lingfield last week! 🎉 Alongside other leading companies, we delivered engaging security talks and presentations to Year 6 students, helping them learn about SECOM and how to stay safe when home alone. 🏡 The 11-year-olds were full of energy and enthusiasm, making it an informative, fun, and rewarding experience for everyone involved. 🙌 We’re thrilled with the positive response and can’t wait to be back next year!
