Today on Women’s Equality Day, we’re reminiscing about Step Into Her, our very first women’s leadership conference. We had the privilege of hosting women in TCC from all around the country at our Store Support office in Fishers, IN. At this event, we packed female care kits for A Seat at the Table. This nonprofit helps minority women overcome barriers that limit access to leadership roles within corporations, government entities, entrepreneurship, and the community. Step Into Her was an amazing few days empowerment filled with opportunities for growth, encouragement, development, and philanthropy, so each attendee could take her leadership journey to the next level.
Thank you for making our 2025 backpack giveaway a success! On Sunday, July 27, our stores gave thousands of free backpacks to students around the country. Plus, we crowned our Stuff the Bus winner. During the month of June, five school finalists around the country competed to win a bus full of school supplies. The community that collected the most donations received a bus full of supplies, and all 5 finalists received the school supplies collected during their respective drive.
We celebrated our recently opened and refreshed TCC locations with a nonprofit donation chosen by each local store team! In July, we donated $500 to: Mckinley County Humane Society (chosen by the Gallup, NM, store team) Humane Society for Hamilton County (chosen by the Fishers, IN, store team) The Hoops Collaborative (chosen by the Somerville, MA, store team) Dogs Eye View Rescue (chosen by the Pocomoke City, MD, store team) And we donated $2,500 to: PATCH of Chillicothe (chosen by the Hannibal, MO, store team) Giving the Basics (chosen by the Shawnee, KS, store team)
This Sunday! Our 13th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway: TCC stores around the country will be giving away free backpacks to students.
In honor of Juneteenth, the B.A.R.R (Black Alliance at Round Room) employee resource group hosted a company-wide block party livestream event to celebrate freedom and discuss equality.
At TCC, giving back is built into the DNA of our business, and we like to extend that opportunity to our customers, too. Through our Get10Give10 program, we randomly select customers to win $10,000 for themselves, plus they get an additional $10,000 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice. We are proud to have partnered with amazing animal rescue organizations for our Rescues Rock community giveback event. Stores around the country hosted in-store pet adoption events, plus we gave away $50,000 to three amazing nonprofits.
We announced that we were going to give one animal rescue organization a $10,000 grant through our Rescues Rock contest. Surprise! We couldn’t choose just one winner. All three finalists received a grant to help fund their amazing causes. Congratulations to: Change A Life Dog Rescue in East Haddam, CT: $30,000 Humane Society for Hamilton County (Indiana) in Fishers, IN: $10,000 Moonlit Pines in Manhattan, IL: $10,000
