The company makes burglar alarm components and systems, including panic buttons (for direct access to alarm monitoring centers). In addition to security products, GRI manufactures pool alarms, which are designed to sound alerts when a pool or spa area has been entered. The company also makes thermostats, specialty computer keyboards and keypads, custom-engraved key caps, and push-button switches. Chairman and president Ken Risk, a son of founder George Risk, owns more than half of the company.
