This company may initially offer several temporary contracts, but after the third, Dutch law typically requires a permanent position. Despite positive feedback on my performance, I was given another temporary contract with assurances of a promotion and raise in the next cycle. However, when the time came, I was informed that budget cuts due to industry challenges meant they couldn’t follow through. Shortly after, I learned that new hires had joined, possibly as a cost-saving measure.
While this can be a good place for a few years, it’s important to be aware that the company operates on a ‘fast-paced’ model, frequently hiring and letting go of staff to manage costs. Although it presents a strong image of wealth and stability, this may not reflect the experience of short-term employees.
Additionally, I encountered challenging management behavior early on, which was difficult to navigate and left a lasting impact on my experience.
