      An employee driven 'Bottom-Up' company with little strategy and no vision.

      Pluspunten

      The personal relationships and connections within ASICS are what make working here great. The offices and locations are largely modern in great surroundings with plenty of opportunity for a healthy lifestyle.

      Minpunten

      Upper mgmt and board are vision-less with little strategy to speak of. There's no real connection with mid-mgmt or the employees that are driving this business forward with most VP and C Level protecting their own cliques of employees, making contradictory decisions based purely on office politics. HR is out of touch, salaries aren't market standard and there are no growth paths to speak of.

      1. A lot of truly engaged people with great personality, leaning to informal rather than formal. 2. A culture of open feedback; proven record of not persecuting people for voicing unpopular opinion 3. Overall comp is not too bad, not really great; new intiatives have been introduced (profit-sharing, increased bonus) 4. Very inclusive in a good manner: doesn't seem that some certain culture is dictating to the rest, also work culture is rather European than Japanese - local office has a high level of independence. 5. Nice team events and company level events. Always something that you can attend, learn or just play at the end of the working day. 6. Work/life balance: while your workday may be pretty busy, overtime is rare and insignificant (roughly 10-15 hours of overtime for the whole year)

      Minpunten

      1. Processes (both operational and communication) require more work. 2. Slow growth, slow development, sometimes can feel like a desert. 3. While open feedback is welcome, it yields very slow changes. 4. Not flexible in reality - impossible to negotiate benefits even as a trade-off. Typical reply: no, without explanation.
