Pluspunten
The people in my team are very passionate about the game we work on and discussions can get heated, but there is always a high level of respect towards each other. As a woman I worried about feeling included- my worry was blast away with the warm welcomes of all employees. Also helpful that more women are getting to work here :) . Some colleagues have become friends outside of work too! There are plenty of events, small and big (ranging from cupcakes for game birthdays to full-on trips to other countries) The office is very beautiful, and they absolutely did their best for the shared spaces. We have a fun facilities in the office. Also, awesome lunches 3 times a week (for a very small price). The coffee space & lunch also helps to socialize with people outside of your team in a very natural way. I have plenty of health issues, my manager and HR is always supportive of me and genuinely help me out. There are also other circumstances where they have gone above & beyond to help me out. There is also usually a culture of overwork in game companies, this does not happen here. This is a 9-5 culture where we do awesome work within those hours. There is definitely quite a tempo in our team but people are also very respectful if you are clear about your capacity.
Minpunten
There is not enough desks to accomodate each team member (some live in other countries) when they come to NL. Some equipment is also a bit old or not optimized for game development in my opinion (my laptop can sort of handle it, but I could have a laptop that had the money go into the processor instead of a touch screen). Personally I believe this is nitpicking.
