Managers who were promoted internally often lack the competence to actually be managers. They don’t manage, support, or lead people properly.
There is no salary growth and no real career opportunities anymore.
If you ever try to express your opinion or raise concerns about risks or problems, you are immediately labeled as “difficult,” and sooner or later, you’ll be pushed out. At the same time, they will smile in your face and tell you that you’re “moving in the right direction” and should “keep up the good work.”
And if you are a woman, sadly, the situation feels even worse.
Everyone seems to care only about themselves and their own ego. The company is full of narcissistic people on a high level positions who neither see beyond themselves nor want to listen to others.
