    Pluspunten

No stress, good companies they work with

    Minpunten

No career growth opportunities, bad management

    Advies aan management

In the beginning this company promise a lot, but none of that happens. It really depends what company you will work for, but as a elite you don't have the chance to build a career or even to find a permanent place.

I have worked in Office Concierge for 2 years and have already gained a promotion. Working at two different sites now has developed my knowledge further and has been a great experience!
My manager has been incredibly supportive and motivating, and encourages you to progress within the business. There are many opportunities and different routes you can go down to benefit your future whether it's short term or long term in OC.

    Minpunten

Some sites have 10 hour shifts but they usually pay well!

    Advies aan management

Continue doing an amazing job and being so supportive!

Interview process was very smooth. They are very helpfully even before your interview. A big thank you to Ayesha , she went above and beyond gave me tips and feedback, advice on how to answer some question that would come up.

My account manager Abbie such am amazing person, she really inspired me during the interview process. She shared with me her experience . You can really tell they value their staffs. There are so many opportunities with OC as long as your willing to put in the effort and hard work nothing go unnoticed .

Join the family and share on your experience.

    Minpunten

I have nothing bad to say

    Advies aan management

    Pluspunten

    - You get to go to some sites which are great
    - You get to meet new people
    - If you're a static it is great, as you get to stay in one site, actually have a relationship with the clients etc.

    Minpunten

    - In the interview, I was told I would be informed the day before (before 5pm) where I would be going the next day. In the beginning, this was true, however, further down the line, they would call me at 8am and tell me to be at a site within the next 30 minutes? Make it make sense.
There were times when I would be on my way to a site, then they would call and tell me to go elsewhere...
    - Pay was/is 21,500. Reasonable. Travel was £40 a month. At first that was fine, until you were placed in a site. Then during the day moved to other sites, and the travel expenses fall on you as lets be honest £40 barely covers two weeks, yet alone a month.
    - The worst thing about Office Concierge and the way they operate is, someone was able to make a complaint about you and OC took their word without actually discussing with you first what happened? Encounter the worst people/staff at some sites who you simply do not gel with, and they are able to pass negative feedback back to OC and just like that you have a strike?

    Advies aan management

    Up the pay rate.
    Be more organised.
    Be more understanding.

    Pluspunten

    - You get to work in some amazing buildings and companies (am based solely on one site), a lot of my colleagues ended up going into some great office based roles
    - Get on really well with my team and the tenants
    - A decent salary
    - Will take you seriously during recruitment stage even if you had no previous experience working on a reception, for example retail and beauty industry
    - Liked my uniform - was a nice, more modern style than I was expecting and means you don't have to buy your own work clothes
-Generally not that stressful if things run well

    Minpunten

    - You have to give a 6 week notice for holiday and it is sometimes difficult to get approved
    - Having to call in 6am when you sick
    - Might be more exciting to get to do more office based tasks, can be some slow days

    Advies aan management

Work on progressing more staff skills and give beneficial workshops

    Minpunten

    No progression
    Broken promises
No feel of a personal touch, just another number

    Advies aan management

    Pluspunten

Good platform and experience for progression in corporate world.
Uniform and dry cleaning voucher provided.
Nice HQ and other receptionist you meet are usually lovely.

    Minpunten

Do not tolerate absence for genuine sick leave/Doctor appt and pressure you into returning to work.
The company will throw you under the bus to building management to cover up their own mistakes which is disheartening.
As a static receptionist you witness how Elite receptionists are treated.

    Pluspunten

Some of their sites are nice and in great locations.

    Minpunten

HR Team are useless, they have no compassion, they are all 2 faced and will be so friendly to your face and pretend like they will help you and then go and then talk bad about you behind your back. Not just HR but 95% of the head office team are like this. they are all rude and NONE of them even care about the employees, they only care about the contract they have with the sites and they cant even seem to keep contracts in the end as even the sites and building management are seeing how awful this company is.

All of the elites get mistreated and they are the least paid workers in the whole company and their job is probably the hardest. They will call you at 6am in the morning and change you schedule for the day and they cant even stick to that as sometimes they will change it 5 or more times and it hasn't even hit 8 am yet and you have to pay for all of your travel between the sites and all they give you is £500 a year - this is how much i end up spending in 1 month. They are so rude to all of the elites - you are only a number to them they don't even know your name and you could be working for them for years. They never authorize your appointments like hospital and dentist as they say they have no cover - well of course because the turn over for elites is crazy because they all want to get away from such a toxic work place. even when they do accept your appointment - you are never paid for it. We are all human beings and we have appointments as it is a normal human thing so why shouldn't we get our money when we do the most for the company. They don't car if your going through a lot of if you need some time off for whatever reason they will still ask you to come in.
I always have to triple check my payslip at the end of the month because there will always be deductions for something. Elites get money deducted for lateness even when its not our fault. They will call you so last minute and expect you to still make it on time and if you don't you will be underpaid.

    Advies aan management

You all need to fix up - I don't know how the company is still stable and i don't know who hires all of the management because clearly none of you know what you are doing - your all clueless with no compassion and maybe if you treated employees as humans and with respect you would get the same back.

    Pluspunten

The salary is good and depending on where your based the team are friendly too

    Minpunten

account managers extend probation and misrepresent you when they fill in your "probation review forms". long hours in residential sites when its not need especially weekends as its not at all busy

    Advies aan management

always make sure you have a witness when your in meetings with them or you'll be labelled a liar even if your telling the truth.

Ik heb gewerkt bij Office Concierge (Langer dan een jaar)

    Pluspunten

You get to see parts of London if you're an 'Elite' operative

    Minpunten

    - You have to wear make up & heels, which is so backwards in this day & age. I have been actively told to wear more make up, which is insulting
    - If you're an Elite you're moved around so many times, sometimes more than once in a day, and you're expected to do everything perfectly even when, at times, you're sent to cover a site with no training.
