Leadership is seriously lacking, some of the tenured people seem to be around for no good reason Quite some office politics, lots of red tape Every year the company seems to get reorganized into something that is more disorganized than before, with more complicated reporting lines Everything is very much focused on short term: fundamental issues are lingering, foreseeable work gets communicated at the last possible moment,... Lots of time spent in meetings with unclear objectives and responsibilities, often leaving one scrambling to get technical work done in the spare moments between the meetings
