Pluspunten
Layoffs aren’t a thing. Steady paycheck. Very low stress environment.
Minpunten
Most of the work is subcontractor so you make the lowest out of everyone on the team probably. Pay is very very low with a $1000-$1500 increase to annual wage a year. If you want something fast paced, the government contracting world is not for you. You may go 1-2 years without having an assignment. This isn’t A3s fault but just keep that in mind. Job titles don’t align with what you do. They might say your gonna be a developer or a contract is in the process… for new grads trying to be developers steer clear there’s no internal development for the government. (Don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise they are trying to make money off of you). HR looks out for the company not you, which is why a lot of people realize this when they start the job and then leave. The turnover rate is extremely high. Lockheed and those big contractors do the software engineering. If you just need a job it’ll be steady enough for you to get paid something at least until you find something better.
