Minpunten
I worked for ADT and can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing professional experiences I’ve ever had. The management is completely disconnected from the reality in the field. They practice extreme micromanagement with zero respect for employees. The atmosphere is one of dictatorship — employees are treated like machines, not human beings. Managers with sales backgrounds are promoted to lead installation teams without any real technical knowledge, resulting in unrealistic time allocations for installations and poor planning. Employees are often forced to complete complex installations alone, even when it clearly requires a two-person team. Training focuses only on protecting the company legally, not on helping employees do their job better. Safety tests exist mainly so the company can deny responsibility in case of injury. There is no proper training on the company’s software or systems — workers are expected to figure everything out on their own. Company vehicles are poorly maintained, and technicians are required to buy their own tools. Employees are also pressured to work weekends, even when the workload doesn’t justify it. Management expects employees to make the company their only priority, ignoring the fact that people have families and lives outside of work. Supervisors arbitrarily cut workers’ hours to impress upper management. The inventory system is full of errors, yet employees are blamed for mismatched stock that isn’t their fault. In short, ADT is not a healthy or fair workplace. If you value respect, professionalism, and basic human decency, look elsewhere.
