Good business foundation but not well utilized by local business leaders

Very hierarchical in terms of management and reporting. Very old school office mentality. Most of the staff adopts a very traditional lazy and non-value adding way of working and has minimal sense of ownership (this is not my job, it's his/her job; i don't know, ask him/her). It's a shame as these group of people pull down their better colleagues' reputation and create a really unfriendly working environment. Very rigid in terms of processes (good and bad; need to find a balance) Resistant to change - new ideas/strategies do not bode well here. There's a reason why many of the good talents chose to leave Politics - so much office politics and that really wears people off Global direction hard to implement in Asia
