Pluspunten
Opportunity to gain familiarity with different types of IT technology. Customer focused. Few high profile clients on board and generally try to keep most clients happy. Chance to work with handful of very skilled and professional people in their respective fields.
Minpunten
Low-ball salary, extreme pressure and high workload. Starting at $13/hr or less for level 1 engineers, imagine how much and how soon you can grow even if you get 20% yearly increments. And then you are expected to work tirelessly to make rich richer. Managed services department has no management and leadership whatsoever. Even though one may get exposure to different IT technologies, there is no chance to learn anything if you are in noc or level 1 tech. Company has managed to acquire some big clients that adds even more pressure on lower level techs. You hardly get a chance to breathe while on shift. Couple of previous reviews list some merits but it's only applicable to a handful (read directors, level 3 engineers (which are very scarce in company) ). Some managers and supervisors are very skilled at brown-nosing senior mgmt at expense of their subordinates. Senior management is adept at feeding lies. Overall low morale in helpdesk/noc department. High turnover.
