(as of Jan 2024) - Reliance on automation has already made local IT irrelevant. - Technical expertise is not required because of the internal tooling, external hires should be weary of applying if they think Amazon has the newest and most effective tech. - Culture of frugality leads to underspending or avoiding things that will snowball into larger issues. - Leadership makes decisions without taking any input from the people it will affect. - L3 employees cannot transfer to AWS at all. Must be promoted to L4 first.
