Regardless of how hard you work to deliver, many feel that their job can disappear at any time via a RIF, org change, or business unit consolidation due to over hiring during the pandemic that still hasn't been "right sized". You can be moved onto another team that you may not want to be a part of, told your job is going away therefore you need to find a new one in the company, or possibly leave altogether, and other scenarios where you're not in control of your career path.
