BU has repeatedly demonstrated that they do not care or respect graduate student workers. Even when the worker's safety is at stake (such as with some labwork), the university would not make changes to policy to protect them. Instead, the university stonewalled students until they struck. The strike lasted 9 months--the longest in some time nationally--and during this the university lied in communications, refused to budge on basics, and hired strike-busters instead of trying to resolve student complaints.
