Pluspunten
SMALL company, so it's easy to diversify yourself if you're motivated. Lots if travel.
Minpunten
Experience is preferred, but negotiable as long as they can underpay you.
Career advancement will not happen... It is a SMALL company, and "upper management" is too comfortable to leave, making the company severely top heavy and leaves no room for advancement.
Benefits are negligible... company pays for 50% of health insurance, but this is not enough for employees with families; profit sharing is always spoken of, but VERY RARELY ever offered; 401k matching is offered, but it hardly offsets the lack of benefits in other aspects of the company.
Worklife balance is great when you're in town, but the job requires extensive travel with little to no compensation (depending on your negotiating abilities, which is shady if you ask me), and is not appreciated by spouses, even less by those with children.
Management is merely a shell and focuses more energy on maintaining a minority business standing and winning "big" projects by underbidding competitors; however, most projects go over budget with absolutely no repercussions. The company focuses more energy on maintaining minority business public relations (by exploiting the employees' heritages) to win minority business projects with larger companies, rather than focusing on winning merit-based projects.
