Pluspunten
The number one reason to work for a company like CVS is the convenience. They are everywhere. Starting out wages are also acceptable for people who do not have a degree or are not high school graduates. I work in the pharmacy and I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician. This was an easy job to find, working hours are flexible and we are always rotating, so there is a good amount of fairness going on. Management members are good and the pharmacy staff is competent as far as the job goes. Little promotions (moving form front cashier to photo tech) are easy to get.
Minpunten
CVS is a money hungry company. It does not care about its employees, the way its being ran is everything but efficient and the pay sucks, although better than McDonald's pay. First, the treatment you get from corporate is unacceptable. They expect you to do unrealistic things that simply cannot be done. For example, they want you to walk out and show every patient where they can find a tylenol bottle and when I say every patient, I mean every patient. Hours, are also not the best, they are fair because there is rotation and everyone works all shifts, but you have to work nights, weekends and hollidays.
