Minpunten
Basically the same as the other negative responses on Glassdoor: - No career progression. No road map. Senior Management has their favorites and it is very evident. - Take a quick scan at LinkedIn and look at CED’s attrition rate before applying. Stay away. - No autonomy - do what you are told attitude. Constantly having friction with management when attempting to take the initiative and trying add value. - No pay increases. Ever. They only promote Senior Management’s friends. Nepotism. - Toxic culture. They will promote those who have been in the job for month’s vs those who have been in the job for years. Watered down titles. - Very left leaning organization. Will fired you if you have differing views. - No one really knows what CED and OCIF does. A desktop scan of 95% of the companies supported by OCIF will either show they are cash heavy multinationals and do not need OCIF help or are completely incompetent businesses that have provided no value to the Development of Calgary. - CED only looks good on paper. - Will waste your time on meetings which achieve nothing. - Leadership is trash. They will talk for hours and you will get nothing out of it. - Leadership loves their re-organization to shift accountability. - Leadership thinks they are the smartest in the room when they can’t even eloquently explain what it is they do for the organization. - Media and Citizens have called CED out many times and their response is no response. - Employees that haven't been anywhere else but rural towns and Calgary keep saying Calgary is the best City... *rolls eyes* - Anecdotes are deemed as truths. Very Silly.
