The non compete clause in your contract is usually very restrictive, essentially preventing you from working in all of the Atlanta metro area for 2 years. A standard non compete is 5-10 miles. Do not sign!!! While preaching work life balance and wellness to patients, staff is over worked and schedules barely allow for a lunch break. We are not able to practice what we are preaching. Stress is very high. Favoritism is rampant. Owner/Medical director is passive aggressive and rarely handles problems directly instead doling reprimands our through middle management. They are always experiencing turnover. Staff is seen as expendable. When a person leaves the practice they are viewed as an enemy. Patients have a ridiculous wait time, sometimes 3 hours, and may see the provider for only 20 minutes. Much patient dissatisfaction. Excessive testing is ordered at initial visit but staff is not provided adequate time to review upon follow up visit.
