Pluspunten
Started as a student, going full-time in 2 months. Best thing I noticed was how ready and well refined the new-hire process was. There is a massive infrastructure for learning and a very well planned program for training for the first weeks as an employee. It all feels like an oiled machine that allows for a soft landing in the company, and it is great to experience considering my previous position had an "all-in on day 1" kind of kick off experience. The offices are great, clean and beautiful. People are very kind all over the place and there are alot of activities in the complex outside working hours that aim at the social aspect at Check Point. Including Yoga, kickboxing sessions, happy hours and so on. There also seems to be a very good work-life balance, and it all seems very flexible whether you are a WFH kind of person or the one that enjoys office life. Overall seems like a great place to work at, specially if you don't have alot of experience like me.
Minpunten
1. Check Point is a security company, which means everything is a bit more tightly secured in terms of infrastructure and devices. It's not a big issue but it certainly causes some inconveniences when setting up software/tools but guess that may as well be the case in most places with large base of customers. 2. Salary could be a little more competitive, but offer was only a bit below other offers I had which. However, the small margin eventually brought it down to picking the place that seemed most suitable in the long term. and in terms of interest of field of development and products, in which case Check Point was easily the better choice.
