Decent pay and they say they are working on promotion criteria to be made clear with goals and objectives for professional growth.

They pride themselves on taking care of employees and they pat themselves on the back for saying they keep employees. Not really accurate. Instead of mass "layoffs" they get creative in letting older employees go with early retirement and then just "layoff" the remaining numbers they need to be gone. They have done this twice in recent years that I'm aware of. This causes concerns and frustration among the still employed. All this while they are still hiring for many other positions to fill.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re glad you value our Total Rewards compensation and ongoing efforts to support career growth and advancement opportunities. In regard to the recent staffing actions you mention, please remember our Voluntary Retirement Incentive, offered to a group of employees last fall, was voluntary. Qualifying employees could accept the offer or remain in their roles – it was their choice. Other staffing actions have impacted a very small number of roles that were no longer needed to support our long-term business strategy and goals. Employees in those roles were encouraged to apply for other positions within the company. Those who left Church Mutual received severance benefits, reflecting our appreciation for their skills and service.

Team and co-workers are kind, smart and hard workers. Once upon a time we were able to collaborate in meaningful ways and actually felt like we were making an impact.

Minpunten

Leadership is out of touch, unrealistic, lack empathy. The only thing they have mastered is eroding trust.
