ClearSource, a company operating across the Philippines, Costa Rica, and the United States, ventured into India in 2023 by forming a partnership with VPersist Corporate Solutions Private Limited (also known as Amplior). While this move seemed promising on paper, it has since unravelled as a tale of disorganization, deceit, and disregard for employee welfare. Mismanagement and Employee Exploitation When ClearSource began its operations in India, it primarily focused on Solar Permit Design, hiring individuals under the guise of an exciting opportunity with a global company. Over 40 people were recruited for a single process, only to be unceremoniously laid off, allegedly due to client dissatisfaction with performance. However, this narrative conveniently omits the company's glaring incompetence in managing operations and its failure to set clear expectations with the client. Instead of owning up to their faults, ClearSource chose to scapegoat their employees. Forty lives were disrupted, careers stalled, and families impacted—all due to a lack of transparency and accountability. Dubious Employment Practices Initially, ClearSource operated under the name VPersist, renting office spaces and processing salaries in VPersist’s name. They assured employees that ClearSource India was in the process of being registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). During this time, employees faced deductions for Provident Fund (PF), but no UAN numbers were provided for an entire year—a clear violation of compliance norms and indicative of gross mismanagement. Their so-called CEO/Managing Director, Mohit Sharma, promised stability and growth but failed to deliver on even basic organizational ethics. Employees were left in a constant state of limbo, wondering about the legitimacy of their employment and future prospects. A Culture of Unprofessionalism The Indian operations of ClearSource are plagued by unprofessionalism and favouritism. Decision-making often appears to revolve around “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours,” rather than merit or organizational goals. Employee welfare, growth opportunities, and respect for professional boundaries seem to be alien concepts here. Personal Experience with Betrayal This review is deeply personal, as I, too, was a victim of their unscrupulous practices. In a previous incident, ClearSource played with my career by creating a situation where I had no choice but to resign. Their manipulation, lack of integrity, and disregard for employee well-being left me disillusioned and betrayed. Final Thoughts ClearSource presents itself as a multinational company with a promising future, but the reality is far removed. Behind the shiny exterior lies a culture of chaos, exploitation, and deceit. Their foray into India has been nothing short of a disaster, with employees bearing the brunt of their incompetence. To anyone considering joining this organization: think twice. Your career deserves better than the false promises and unprofessionalism that ClearSource offers. A word of caution to the leadership: Employees are not disposable commodities. If you continue to operate with such blatant disregard for the people who drive your business, your reputation will crumble faster than your flawed operations.
