Pluspunten

My coworkers are amazing. We deeply care for one another and rely on one another because of the hard working conditions.

Minpunten

There is no long term career path here. The reason they have a 10/20/30/40 stock vesting schedule is because people leave after a year. They announced moving to a 20/20/30/30 schedule 2 months ago along with many “new changes” (company days off for mental health, wellness reimbursement, etc) but zero details on any of it All hands last week was basically the Elon Musk maneuver….be dedicated to the mission or “connect with your HR business partner and we will find a way for you to leave” (that’s a direct quote). There is vibe like “you’re lucky to be here” - pervasive at the company but dripping from the CEO, CBO and chief growth officer. The CGO has these odd office hours on Fridays where he talks about himself and wants us to ask questions about HIS career so we can learn **eyeroll** And women leaders, forget about it. Someone asked the 2-3 women in leadership on how they balance being a working mom with young kids and their response (no joke): “throw money at it.” Yup, barely able to pay bills, working long hours in the midst of a recession and this is how the role models here respond.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback. In the past year, we've grown our Exec team by bringing on new leaders and leaning into our growth mindset. We're committed to iterating and improving as we mature as a company. One of the examples of where we've matured is with our new corporate benefits. We wanted to give our Crew members a high-level preview while we worked through the finer details of the policies themselves. As we shared during our All-Hands, the new benefits will go into effect in January 2023. That includes an enhanced parental leave policy to support our working parents! We believe ClickUp is a great place to be, and we also recognize how lucky we are to employ such talented people. Like every company, we hope our employees connect to our mission and want to contribute at ClickUp. At times, people might also decide that ClickUp is not the best place for them. If that happens, we aim to provide support and treat their decision with care. We believe in growing people in their careers, and if they prefer to do that outside of ClickUp, we understand and support that. Thank you for sharing your review. We are committed to growing, and your feedback can help us do that.

Pluspunten

Some smart, ambitious people who you can learn a lot from.

Minpunten

This place is an unstable, toxic mess, and leadership is largely to blame. The C-suite is full of egos and seems to make goals and quotas up out of thin air, then cleans up the fallout from poor planning and overhiring with layoffs. There have been three company-wide mass layoffs in less than four years, and that doesn’t even include the many layoffs that have happened quietly behind closed doors. The toxicity at the top trickles down through the entire organization. VPs put pressure on middle management, who then pass that pressure on to ICs. The company can’t seem to keep leaders in place for more than six months, which creates constant chaos and confusion. Strategies are always changing, priorities shift every few months, and nothing ever sticks long enough to make a real impact. Promotions seem to be based more on politics, favoritism, and who can make the most noise than on actual performance. The same people get promoted year after year, and many of them seem underqualified for the titles they hold. If you’re good at self-promotion and have the right relationships, you’ll probably do fine. If you’re quietly doing great work, don’t expect the same recognition. HR keeps saying they’re working on improving the promotion process, but I haven’t seen much change. If you’re considering joining the GTM org (especially the operational side) I would think twice. The new leadership loves to talk about transformation, improvements, and exciting changes, but there’s usually very little follow through behind the messaging.
