We used to have technically competent managers. Now we have theatrics. We used to compete with FANG for talent. Now we only hire FANG rejects. We used to recruit at top schools like UT-Austin. We now hire anyone with a masters degree that needs OTP sponsorship. We used to a CEO who came from engineering. We now have a CEO who came from sales. We used to a head of HR. Now we have several Fiserv semi-competent HR "business partners". We used to have a culture of inclusion. Now we have senior leadership that ignores women in engineering. We used to be a Silicon Valley startup. Now we are a stodgy east coast banking institution. We used to be Clover. Now we are Fiserv.
