When it was Aeroflex, I worked independently, efficiently, my work was respected, and I was respected simply for being a human being. PTO was great.

Minpunten

Halfway through my perilous journey, the company migrated to Cobham. This is when the "Good 'ol Boy" system took effect. Those who were buddies back when it was Aeroflex decided to start giving each other big time promotions. A lot of nepotism. Many married couples, children, parents, siblings, etc. work in a close environment. (Colorado Springs) Don't expect promotions and definitely don't expect any reasonable raises after several years. You're lucky if you get a 0.01% raise. Each executive needs that extra $50k to afford their new cars. Atrocious benefits. At more of a local level. The company does not put any effort into leadership training and when this occurs, some people become monstrous with their new power. Expect to be badgered, bullied, micromanaged, etc. to the point where you're almost in tears daily. Management only cares about management, title, and status. Management and HR will not have your back and they will only support the brown nosers. Sexual harassment is everywhere. They talk like they're serious about it. They aren't. They're stuck in some kind of 1950's whirlwind and some of these old codgers roaming the halls need to just be let go, for god's sake. Your views and beliefs will be challenged excessively by employees. If you aren't ultraconservative and evangelical, some employees will try to make you feel incompetent and dehumanized. Like always, keep your views to yourself because it can always be used against you. Overall, my experience with Cobham was extremely stressful. It affected my personal life tremendously. The best feeling was walking out those doors and not looking back. A chapter of excessive bullying, badgering, and dehumanization finally concluded and I'm happier than ever.

It's a fairly small location, and after a few years of experience, you will need to move on in order to get a promotion.
