I joined the company because I liked the product as a teacher and was looking for something outside the classroom. The company has a good mission and the benefits are ok. There are many employees that care and are nice. Working with customers can be fulfilling.
Minpunten
Nothing is what it seems. Higher leadership micromanages the whole company. There is high turnover and even if you offer valuable experience only a few favorites get to add value to the company. Otherwise, you’re just an employee that’s expected to just comply. Every year that I worked at CodeHS, policies and benefits changed (not for the better). Even my original offer of benefits changed in the same year. Much of the company is ran by people who have no experience in K-12 education which makes working here even more frustrating if you want to see improvement in the company. I also find it questionable when you read the most recent Glassdoor Reviews listed as five stars around the same day. My advice to anyone who is reading this, just know what you’re getting into. If your a creative person, this may not be the job for you.
