Coffee one turns over staff fast. As a new manager I was promised support from three managers in store to help me when I opened. I got one - part time.
Coffee one does not support managers at all. They promise training, then it just doesn't happen. They expect managers to work 60 hours a week and force you to sign an exemption from the "Working time directive" or else you simply don't get the job.
If you want to be paid less than the minimum wage (after you've worked the hours they expect), and never want to see your home then this is the job for you. If you have a life, forget it. Coffee 1 doesn't know the meaning of work life balance.
If something goes wrong, don't expect support, or even a call back from your area manager. You are on your own. But expect grief if you do the slightest thing wrong (even though no one trained you on that).
You might think it sounds good - but I can assure you many managers aren't happy - I've spoke to them!
Oh and if it snows, and the store is shut, you can take that out of your holidays (this is illegal unless the company has a snow policy - which they don't).
It's a company policy not to let you have two consecutive days off, so don't expect to be able to go away for a couple of days!
