Through this position I learned that I love creating and running an after-school program. I enjoyed training staff and watching them grow through their positions. I also really enjoyed watching the kids gain new skills and create bonds with each other and staff including myself.

The way after-school directors are managed is very disorganized. Most of the employees are from within who do not know the difference between professionalism and not. They wait last min. to tell you important information and most of the time it's miss information. Expect for programs to service students with no materials. Mood and personal opinion depicts how you are treated instead of how you perform. I could keep going but I'm only allowed 20 words. Over all the place is petty, disorganized and has a high stress environment.
