The initial phase was with a recruiter who discusses your resume—the role, and the interview process. My recruiter would schedule the interviews and take time with me to prepare by discussing which questions may be asked and how to answer them using the preferred style; STAR.

Minpunten

I was not hired after 4 interview stages composed of 6 employee interviewers that spanned over 5 weeks in length. Each interview was unique, therefore, preparation took time. In the final round, I was asked to present how I would go about the discovery phase with a client to make them a marketing plan for a specific property class they intend to launch. You are made aware that the plan does not need to be actualized, rather, what clearly need to be understood is your ability to the client discover the meeting agenda for preparation and delivery, and then how you would approach making the property-specific marketing plan. I utilized my past sales experience to find a listing that matched the criteria of the property described in Case A. I was told that they decided to hire someone with an internal history of working at a brokerage in-house. This time it hit differently because I knew the girl. she was my girl. My 7 years of experience in real estate marketing, branding and design planning and implementation combined with my sales experience has allowed me with the over exceeding credential merits

People are smart. Very much a “move fast and break things” culture which can be refreshing compared to bureaucracy-heavy corporate life. I don’t agree with their values (if they have any) but what they’re doing is unquestionably working - business outlook is strong.

Minpunten

Leadership will tell you there’s no ego or self-interest involved in their strategy - that is untrue. It’s an extremely heliocentric culture around the CEO. A lot of the work is based around what people they're guessing he’ll like, but there’s no alignment at the outset and something you worked on for weeks/months will be trashed after one look from him. Their mission is ostensibly about empowering agents but they are solving a problem that pretty much no one was complaining about before they started, and which just so happens to work highly in their favor in terms of market share. It’s just business but very disingenuous- don’t believe the hype that it’s altruistic somehow. Also the CEO loves to share his sob story about his single mother upbringing, but simultaneously enacts some of the most anti-parent policies you could think of.
