- Some managers are highly invested in nurturing their team's growth which gives some employees a high level of autonomy over deliverables and outputs.

Minpunten

- A severe lack of commercial direction spearheaded by a misguided and weak leadership team. - Leadership are incredibly removed from the everyday, on the ground workings of the company which leads to unrealistic targets consistently being missed. - The leadership team refuses to take any accountability for constant commercial failings and shortfalls. Instead, they shift blame and put higher pressure on the customer success and sales functions of the business. - Multiple restructurings and redundancies happen every year due to poor business decisions from the executive team. This has resulted in high levels of staff turnover, a breakdown in employee trust and losing young and motivated talent. - Nepotism is rife and favourable promotions are made with little validation or explanation if you are either related to the CEO or in the ‘inner clique.’ - A spineless HR team that offers little support or guidance when employee issues, such as workplace misconduct, are brought forwards. HR also ask employees to write positive reviews to improve the company rating on Glassdoor. - Company culture has been obliterated since the takeover of the current CEO. - Conversocial has been treading water for the past two years, it is only a matter of time till it sinks.

Pluspunten

They truly care about the employees, the exec team is pretty strong, the work is usually interesting. The conversation space has room for growth.

Minpunten

The product roadmap is a murky at times.

Pluspunten

There are three things I look at when evaluating opportunities, and Conversocial overwhelmingly hits all three of them: 1. The industry - It's such an exciting time to be involved with social right now. Companies are using social media in such innovative ways, and social customer service is only going to get bigger! Really exciting to see how our clients have embraced social as more than just a marketing channel. 2. The company - Great organization that cares about its employees. Company lunch every day, flexible working environment, good benefits, trust between senior management and employees, little to no politics, and lots of room for growth. Everyone is in a position to make the business better. 3. The team - this one is my favorite. People are smart, driven, and inspiring. The senior management team are people you actually want to work for, and your peers are people you actually want to work with. Says a lot when we like hanging out with each other outside of work!

Minpunten

Our team is rapidly growing, and that presents challenges and growing pains with any company. We're still working out the kinks (like making sure our projector works 100% of the time), but for the most part the cons aren't big enough to make this place feel routine.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice. Great to hear all the positive feedback. As you know, I'm a huge believer in transparency, but I also agree we didn't always live up to that 100%, and communication around both starters and leavers can be improved. Since this review we've implemented new processes to improve this significantly.
