Pluspunten

Good health insurance, good amount of PTO days

Minpunten

I joined DLL during the COVID pandemic, and one of the key factors that led me to accept the position was the company's emphasis on being "pro-remote." During both the HR screening and the interview with my manager, I was informed that the company had adopted a flexible approach, with minimal in-office requirements (at the time, one "anchor day" per month). There was no mention of transitioning back to more regular in-office days once the pandemic subsided, which strongly influenced my decision to join. However, since the transition to a hybrid model, my experience has significantly deteriorated. The mandatory in-office days add unnecessary stress, as I spend two hours commuting back and forth just to perform tasks I could easily do from home. The stated reasons for this policy—collaboration and fostering culture—seem disconnected from reality, as I typically go to the office, sit at a desk without interacting with anyone, and leave when my workday ends. It feels like the focus is more on justifying the cost of office renovations rather than genuinely considering what’s best for employee productivity and well-being.

Pluspunten

- Work environment is clean, open, updated - Ice cream and popcorn are offered to help make up for the mediocre wages - Most people (the ones that haven't left yet) are great - Healthcare was good but easily found elsewhere

Minpunten

Left after 11 years after being convinced by former colleagues- The amount of people that I know who left DLL for other companies and got 20-30k higher pay is substantial. Didn't realize how wide the discrepancy was until I was away from it all. Your pay when hired at first is what you'll be getting for many years even with good performance. They'll throw in the 2% "merit increase" (which is simply an adjustment for rising inflation), but after that it'll take moving up to positions that are either very limited or already reserved for the right people. You'll have external employees be hired at noticeably higher pay as you (and your hardworking teammates) are making less. Workload fluctuates but teamwork is difficult during busy times as everyone has their own regions/specialities. If it works out for you then go for it, but the grass is actually greener as myself and about ten others learned.
