Employee entrance is treacherous, especially in wet/frozen conditions. Minimal breaking space, encouraging employees to work during break time. Building requires renovations. Operator room is too small with no ventilation. If someone becomes ill, it circulates around folks for months. Atmosphere is much too casual, wherein bad behaviour by longterm employees is just ignored by sr. management. This part of the business has been operating for 30yrs, and existing managers have been there since the beginning - even if you're a CS veteran with over 10yrs management experience, don't expect a promotion. Operations model is very dated due to reluctance to include new blood/ideas into the mix. Company doesn't have an HR representative, so unresolved issues have no path if managers choose not to address. The customer base fluctuates significantly, so layoffs occur frequently. Newest folks are let go first. They do not prepare you well enough for the shift rotations, and there are no options to change. Your sleep cycle requires 12hr flipping every 3 days, roughly. Existing employees manage through medication/aids.
