The magazine championed female empowerment, but failed to be truly inclusive and tolerant of the current social landscape with a lack of diversity in the magazine and staff. CEO and Creative Director lacked empathy and authenticity proving Darling’s ‘mission’ was just a façade. Owners constantly employ unpaid interns enjoying the free labor. Low pay for the incredible amount of work that spread employees thin. ‘Company’ overall lacks ethics. If you’re thinking of getting involved in any way with this organization, you’ve been warned.
