Direct management is great, coworkers are generally great, it's really fun to get to know patrons and make recommendations

Minpunten

administration are out of touch, no cost of living raise so far for 2026 (last one was at the end of 2024), already underpaid for the work done compared to other library systems in the area, job descriptions and responsibilities seem to change according to the whims of admin

This is such a fun job. I love assisting patrons to find the right book.

The hours. Part time specialists have to work every other weekend. But everyone is more than willing to switch shifts with you if you have something going on.
