Slack does take some getting used to if you have not used it in a previous job, but once you do, it allows for easy and quick communication, transparency, and positive collaboration. We give our Member Service Guides regular time off the phones so that they can catch up on any messages they may have missed. As for interdepartmental communication, there is always room for improvement. We have different initiatives underway that we are so happy to hear will have an impact on Guide satisfaction, and we are always looking for ways to improve our connections with other teams. We understand that working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment is not for everyone. Everyone who works at Devoted keeps a busy schedule, but our leaders are committed to supporting Guides in every possible way. When it comes to our members, anyone who works in a customer-facing job can understand that you may speak to a happy customer or a dissatisfied one. These are difficult times, especially for our older population, which can sometimes influence the way they present themselves on phone calls. Because we know that sometimes members may express themselves in ways that can be challenging for some Guides, we have resources in place, including a unique stress reduction program, to help our Guides feel loved and supported. Member Service Guides are critical to the mission of Devoted Health, and we continually strive to make the work experience of a Member Service Guide as supported, healthy, and joyful as possible.
