Pluspunten

First thing's first, no one asked me to leave this review. The engineering and product teams are very experienced in not just their own realms, but each others' as well... Meaning, engineering knows when to lean on product for feedback and direction, and vice versa for the product team. The fast pace keeps things interesting, but leadership also is understanding if/when I need support or help. I don't feel stranded or left on my own, even while working remotely. The people that have been here for 2+years understand the industry and product with great detail, and if you have questions or concerns they are always ready to help and assist. Asking questions, and giving a genuine effort seems to be enough to continue to grow and evolve with the company.

Minpunten

The industry is competitive, complicated at times, and definitely nuanced with changing customer expectations, regulations and standards. That means the company has to be able to manage the complexities and nuances that come up regularly. This isn't an easy or simple objective, and the stress that comes with that is not for everyone. Leadership leaves it up to the teams to decide protocols and standards, and this can be a positive and negative at times. I can see not having a clear direction and decisions at a leadership level being a negative for a lot of people. That is just as much of a note about where the company is at in terms of size and responsibilities as it is about leadership though. I think leadership is still finding its footing in terms of overall management style and approach with a growing team, product features, and customer base. There are a lot of high priority items to juggle all at once, and things shift constantly in an organization of this size. That adds stress and unknown work/life balance at times, however, it doesn't go unnoticed from my perspective.

Regardless of your role or department, anyone from across the organization is willing to answer a question, help with an issue, or listen to your idea. - Curiosity - Innovation is front and center. We live a growth mindset, continually looking for ways to learn and improve. Beyond that we have a direct impact on healthcare. Our software helps providers deliver better patient care and helps patients save money on their prescriptions.

There are a few genuinely talented and hard-working people who keep things running. They deserve far more credit than they get.

Minpunten

Leadership here is not leadership at all. The middle managers who somehow talked their way into getting a C in front of their titles are cheap, insecure, and consistently underperforming. They confuse confidence with competence and have built a culture where fear is treated like strategy. The only thing actually growing is the number of people quietly updating their resumes. The product is unstable and unreliable, new clients are almost nonexistent, and the customers who do join often slip away. What makes it worse is what is happening at the top. The C-suite has started turning on each other and throwing each other under the bus. If you are not playing tennis with the CEO and CFO, you are not getting rewarded. Credit to the COO for working that angle, although it says more about the culture than it does about talent. It is painfully clear they are trying to make the company look attractive to potential buyers. Everything feels staged while operations crumble behind the curtain. Five five-star reviews appearing in a few days in October tells you everything you need to know. No genuine employee talks about “underperformers being put on watch.” We see it. Everyone sees it. A defensive review may help someone sleep better at night, but it does not change reality. They are not building a future. They are polishing and leaving everyone else to deal with the damage.
