Pluspunten
Small outfit that gives motivated, hard-working members of the team an opportunity to learn a lot about the energy industry. Opportunities to travel are significant, and industry exposure during early stage career is unparalleled. Individuals are encouraged to, and rewarded for, showing ingenuity in the way they present and research work. Generally speaking, the work environment has a friendly, collaborative feeling to it. Consulting work is varied and interesting, and those that thrive in the fast-paced environment can be well rewarded in pay and bonuses.
Minpunten
The company's management structure is a little flat, and this can lead to members of staff taking on levels of responsibility that may be perceived as 'above their pay grade'. In reality, this is a great opportunity for those that take it, but for some it can be too much, too soon. Whilst pay and bonuses can be sound, the company lacks the type of benefits package typically associated with a consultancy firm (e.g. pension, healthcare, etc.). Bonuses can be good, but are unpredictable. Generally an important chunk of end of year earnings for most staff, so unpredictability of size and lack of clarity over calculation needs to be resolved.
