Pluspunten
This used to be an enjoyable place to work. The culture was supportive, and work-life balance was respected. While compensation and equity were below industry standards—even for a company of 30–50 employees—it was a solid environment for early-career professionals to gain experience. However, opportunities for career advancement were minimal, and salaries remained uncompetitive unless you were part of senior leadership.
Minpunten
Following VC involvement, the company adopted unrealistic growth expectations while continuing to underpay staff. Leadership hired high-cost executives with no relevant industry experience, most of whom departed within 1–2 years. As employee attrition rose, the VCs responded by removing the founders and cycling through at least two more CEOs. The company operates in a complex industry with long sales cycles, yet leadership lacked the domain knowledge needed to support sustainable growth. This led to a revolving door in the sales team and a breakdown of internal morale.
