Pluspunten
Working from home is a pro, but it is also a pro for the company since it reduces their overhead, yet they act like they're doing us a favor.
Minpunten
ETS surreptitiously hired new raters at a lower pay rate, probably from the pool they had sitting around since they lost the SAT account, in order to feel free to cut the wages of current employees, with back-up raters waiting. Although they left Scoring Leaders' pay intact, they effectively increased their workload since it is logical that rater turnover will be much higher now and leaders will have to do more training and closer supervision of new hires. In this growing economy, a $15/hr job is not that hard to come by. Some of us may stick around for a while but rest assured we are all beginning to make other arrangements. And new raters will soon become disillusioned with the inconsistent hours, often cancelled or modified at the last minute, which we have been tolerating only because $18-20/hr wasn't a completely insulting pay rate.
