Management: There’s a huge disconnect between upper leadership and the people doing the day-to-day work. You’re expected to handle an overwhelming amount of work, but you aren't given the resources or staffing to actually get it done without burning out. Expecting people to constantly work over their hours has become the norm. Lack of Growth: Career progression is pretty much non-existent. Promises of promotions or career development are thrown around, but they rarely actually happen. There’s no clear pathway to move up, so it’s easy to feel stuck and stagnant.
